Introduction to Political Ecology

I developed a draft syllabus for an upper-level undergraduate course introducing students to Political Ecology as I prepared for my qualifying doctoral exams. The course focuses on the interconnections between society and the environment, and follows the development of political ecology as a theoretical and practical approach to examining human–environment relationships. The course highlights two concepts – nature and power – as central to political ecology today.
